British Sea Power are an indie-rock band from Brighton consisting of frontman "Yan" Scott Wilkinson, guitarists Martin Noble and Neil Wilkinson, drummer Matthew Wood, cornet and keyboard player Phil Sumner and viola player Abi Fri.
Formed in 2000, the band released their debut album, ‘The Decline of British Sea Power’ in 2003, with the single Carrion reaching the Top 40 of the UK Singles Chart. Their second album, 2005's ‘Open Season’, hit #13 on the UK's Official Albums Chart, with their third LP, 2008's ‘Do You Like Rock Music?', peaking even higher at #10. The band put out their ninth album, ‘Sea of Brass’, in 2015, and followed this up with their latest LP, 2017's 'Let The Dancers Inherit The Party'.
