Dynamic alt- pop rockers, King No-One have taken the live scene by storm. Formed in York in 2013, they introduced themselves busking original material in the cold, rain drenched streets across the UK. As word spread they built their live reputation with blistering sold out shows across the nations favourite small venues before exploding as one of the biggest live emerging guitar bands in the country.
Impressively the band sell out venues reserved for major label, radio 1 play-listed album artists – selling in excess of 8,000 tickets over two tours, every year. Their biggest show being the O2 Ritz.
The York band go from strength to strength, sold out UK tours, BBC Radio 1 stage at Reading and Leeds, main stage performances – drawing thousands of fans -at Truck and Y-Not festival. Trnsmt, Tramlines, capacity shows at Dot to Dot ( O2 Ritz, Bristol Academy and Rock City). The band charted their debut EP in March 2019, reached #2 on the Indie breakers chart and # 21 on the Indie Chart, following New Music Friday and Apple playlists in 15 countries.
Through pure grit, talent and drive King- No-One epitomise the modern go -getting DIY culture – conquering the hearts and minds of a huge fanbase with constant touring, massive singles and an ethos of equality. This was characterised in the single ‘Antichrist’ which declares that regardless of our colour, gender, sexuality or our financial status; we are all born equal.
King No-One are an Indie Rock band from York. They kick started everything in Summer 2013 after uploading tracks to the BBC Uploader. They were offered performances at Beacons festival, and Reading & Leeds festival (BBC Introducing stage), where founder of Drowned In Sound Sean Adams named them as his "Favourite new band".
In May 2014 King No-One were chosen by Embrace in support of their sold out O2 Academy tour and after their impressive performances, they were asked again in November/December. In June they received national TV coverage on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch. Their tracks have featured on the Mark Forest show, inclusion on the BBCRadio6 Mixtape, while their latest single MILLENNIUM has received airplay in New York, Ohio and Berlin. They have sold out local venues with capacities ranging from 150 - 300, in York and Leeds in April, October and November 2014. Millennium also won 1st place in the international song writing competition for the rock category over 8000 other songs. In March 2015 they peaked at No.3 on the world's Hype machine charts with their single Foreign Tongue.
