Limerick Alt Rock / Alt Metal artist Layen_ has proven to be one of Ireland's most promising upcoming alternative acts. Recent singles "unravel" and "broken spirit" blend melancholic walls of reverb-soaked guitars with crushing drums and rich layers of vocals, inspired by acts such as Thornhill, Static Dress and Loathe. Catch them alongside The Sound of Modesty. They blend alternative rock, heavy metal and avant-garde influences into a sound that's both emotionally raw and intensely heavy. Renowned for their immersive live shows, they've played festivals including Liverpool Sound City and Strangeforms, as well as supporting Tricot on their 2023 UK tour. Their latest EP, A Thousand Dreams, sees the band lean into a heavier sound, exploring themes of identity, youthful ambition and emotional vulnerability through standout tracks like No Face and Not Spring.
