“The most exciting rock & roll band in the UK right now” BBC Radio 1

“A tsunami of mega riffs and eardrum-popping bass lines. Definitely don’t want to wear your Sunday best to one of their raucous gigs” NME

Avalanche Party is feral garage-punk rock & roll from the North Yorkshire Moors. Their sound is intense and immediate, so new yet so familiar, brimming with an urgency that explodes off the stage like the front lines of a war you didn’t even realise was being fought. Every note played through white knuckles, every word spat through gritted teeth.

The past few years have seen Avalanche Party tear away from the moors, greeting the UK, Europe and USA with intense live performances. Hotly tipped by many for big industry success, the band has had heavy radio support, being championed by BBC Introducing, Radio 1’s Huw Stephens, 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq and Tom Robinson, Vic Galloway at BBC Scotland, John Kennedy at Radio X, Edith Bowman at Virgin Radio, Jim Gellatly at Amazing Radio and KEXP’s Kevin Cole & KCRW’s Jason Kramer in the USA.

The band have recorded two live sessions for BBC 6Music, and were invited to London by KEXP to perform a live session as part of International Clash Day. They were also named by NME as a part of their global Top 100 Bands for 2019.

The band has toured the UK & Europe constantly with numerous sell out shows, festival appearances and they’ve just returned from their first trip to the United States and Mexico, including performances at SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas, New Colossus Festival in New York & headline shows in Los Angeles, California and Tijuana, Mexico.

Notable UK performances include Reading & Leeds Festival, Isle of Wight Festival, The Great Escape, Liverpool Sound City, Tramlines Festival, Live at Leeds, Y-Not Festival, Humber Street Sesh, Truck Festival, 2000 Trees Festival, Deershed Festival, Twisterella Festival, Hit The North & Stockton Calling. European Festivals such as London Calling (Amsterdam), Psycho Mind Festival (Tilberg), Mikser Festival (Serbia) and Olgas Rock (Germany). This all alongside multiple European tours taking them to Belgium, France, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Germany, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Serbia.

Avalanche Party are a feral garage rock and roll band from the wild North Yorkshire Moors.

The past year has seen Avalanche Party tear away from the moors, raising venues all over the UK to the ground whilst sharing the stage with the likes of Happy Mondays, The Subways, Palma Violets, Vant, Public Enemy, The Amazing Snakeheads etc.

The band have received heavy radio play since the release of their debut EP, being championed by BBC Introducing, Radio 1’s Huw Stephens, 6Music’s Steve Lamacq and Tom Robinson, Vic Galloway at BBC Scotland, Jim Gellatly, Amazing Radio and KCRW’s Jason Kramer in the USA. The band also recorded a live session for BBC 6 Music in November 2016.

The band were selected by BBC Introducing to play their stage at Reading & Leeds Festivals. As well as numerous visceral festival appearances in the UK this year including Twisterella Festival, Evolution Emerging, Willowman Festival, Humber Street Sesh, We Are Family Festival etc, Avalanche Party also performed at this year’s Oberhausen Rock Festival, Germany to 10,000 people in the summer as well as appearing in France, Serbia, Belgium and Holland.

With major record label interest being shown in the band, coupled with new recordings being released later in the year, the Avalanche Party juggernaut is gaining unstoppable momentum.
